CAST (Community Assets Standing Tall) is seeking to appoint people to join our Board of Trustees. This is a voluntary, non-remunerated role with a broad remit to support and govern a community regeneration charity serving the Rossendale Valley in Lancashire.
What difference will you make?
CAST provides vital support to people living in the Rossendale Valley. Trustees offer pragmatic and level-headed governance to an established regional charity with a highly skilled board, helping to shape its impact for beneficiaries.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for energetic individuals to join our team of trustees. Experience in fundraising, marketing, finance and event management is desirable, though not exhaustive. Candidates should have sector knowledge and an understanding of charity boards and governance, and be sympathetic to CAST’s ethos and values.
What will you be doing?
As a trustee, you will contribute to governance and oversight, ensuring CAST delivers on its aims. The role requires dedicating time to attend 4-6 board meetings annually, with occasional events and celebrations. The key officers’ roles on the board are currently filled, but vacancies may arise in the future.
CAST operates across the Rossendale Valley and has offices in Bacup, with a broad remit and a diverse service user base. The organisation welcomes applications from people from all walks of life within CAST’s area of operation.
