Job Title: SHEQ Officer
Actemium, a global engineering services provider and part of Vinci Energies, is seeking a SHEQ Officer to join our Control Panel business sector. We offer a competitive salary, share scheme, pension, healthcare, company car or allowance, and other benefits.
The SHEQ Officer will support the Sector Director, the UK Head of SHEQ, and Business Unit GMs to ensure the effective application of SHEQ requirements across our Business Units.
This role covers Electrical and Panel Building activities across various market segments including Industrial, Nuclear & Defence, Transportation, Retail, and Healthcare, involving Design, Build, and Maintenance.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships within the sector, possess excellent IT and communication skills, and demonstrate SHEQ and commercial awareness. Reporting directly to the Sector Director and indirectly to the UK Head of SHEQ, they will provide monthly reports and feedback.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor and improve the Actemium UK Management System within the Panel Sector.
2. Support carbon footprint reduction and advise on environmental and sustainability issues.
3. Interpret and apply SHEQ legislation and practices to operational activities.
4. Ensure compliance with company rules, principles, and initiatives.
5. Meet reporting obligations related to Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
6. Assist in maintaining ISO certifications and memberships.
7. Collaborate within the SHEQ community across Actemium UK.
Candidate Requirements
* NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH membership, or equivalent, with ongoing CPD commitment.
* Desirable: Environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA) and quality qualification (e.g., CQI).
* Valid UK driver’s license for travel across the South West of England and South Wales.
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and focus on quality.
