With currently 17 shops and a fantastic team of staff and volunteers, we’re proud to support people when they need us most.Hours: 22.5 hours per week (three days a week, which will include working weekends and some bank holidays)What is the role?We’re looking for someone proactive, customer-focused and community-minded to help drive sales, support volunteers and assist with the day-to-day running of our West Swindon shop. This is more than just a retail job – it’s an opportunity to build retail experience while making a real difference in your local community.As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll:Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPI performanceDeliver excellent customer service and act as a positive ambassador for Prospect HospiceHelp recruit, motivate, supervise and support a team of dedicated volunteersEnsure attractive visual merchandising and stock displays to maximise sales and footfallPromote Gift Aid donations and support effective stock processingAssist with cash handling, shop security and maintaining high retail standardsContribute ideas for promotions, displays and retail improvementsHelp ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Trading Standards regulationsMaintain a clean, safe and welcoming shop environmentTake responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence, including occasional full-time coverYou will need proven retail experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly.
