Job Description:
The role will provide leadership and expertise in Technical Systems and Engineering across the Service Centres within our southern region. They will oversee PR programs and MTBF targets, support site managers, and develop automation projects to improve Safety, Quality, and Cost.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensure safety standards are maintained at each service centre, focusing on machinery safety.
* Audit sites for safe operation of equipment.
* Ensure compliance with legislative requirements related to engineering and site services.
* Follow electrical and mechanical standards.
* Implement best practices and standards improvements through change requests.
* Collaborate with Process Engineering to develop automation roadmaps.
* Lead continuous improvement and MTBF projects.
* Manage commissioning and verification phases for major projects.
* Coordinate with Training managers to meet technical training needs.
Qualifications:
* HNC or Degree in Engineering
* Machinery Safety Qualification (e.g., Machinery Safety Expert or C&G)
* NEBOSH certificate (preferred)
* PLC/controls professional qualification
* Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
* Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements
