Summary
Key Responsibilities
* Weekly Planning and Coordination: Organize the pharmacy clinical service provision for the allocated prison(s), planning your work and that of others.
* Collaborative Work: Communicate effectively with Rochester pharmacy to manage workloads and ensure seamless service.
* Clinical Service Delivery: Provide high-standard clinical and dispensing services, adhering to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) directed by the Senior Prison Services Pharmacist.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the pharmacy technician within the allocated cluster, providing professional support on-site.
* Formulary Implementation: Collaborate with primary care colleagues to implement the prison formulary.
* Reporting and Advising: Generate monthly drug expenditure reports for the allocated cluster prisons and advise prescribers on potential improvements and efficiencies.
* Clinical Screening and Accuracy Checks: Perform clinical screening and final accuracy checks in the dispensary.
* Timely Service Delivery: Ensure all work meets the timely requirements of the prison delivery service.
* Workload Organization: Support technicians in organizing dispensary workloads.
* Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with various healthcare providers, including primary care, IDTS, and mental health services.
Essential Information
National Security Vetting: All applicants must be willing to undergo National Security Vetting as part of pre-employment checks through Oxleas and the prison vetting team. Applicants will need to provide:
* Proof of right to work documentation.
* Proof of ID, including one photographic ID.
* Proof of address documentation.
* Non-UK passport holders must provide correct documentation (right to work in the UK) and a Home Office Share code.
* Address history for the past five years.
* Non-UK passport holders with less than five years of UK address history must provide a Police Certificate in English from previous residences.
* UK passport holders who have lived abroad for more than six months in the last three years must provide a certificate of good conduct or an overseas police check in English.
