The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) prioritises the wellbeing of its staff with a focus on positive mental health and overall wellbeing. They are currently looking for a highly experienced clinician with the expertise and alignment to the SFRS Values to join the Wellbeing team as Clinical Lead.
This is a temporary full-time post for a period of 12 months. The location of this role is SFRS flexible. Applications from individuals seeking hybrid or flexible working options will be considered. This role will require travel across Scotland.
As Clinical Lead, you’ll play a key role, leading the delivery of the Occupational Health Service within the SFRS. Working as part of the Safety & Assurance Team, you will:
- Manage the activities of the Health and Wellbeing nurse-led occupational health service, ensuring the professional, effective and efficient delivery of high-quality evidence-based practice, in line with clinical governance standards.
- Provide clinical leadership, expert advice and support, with responsibility for making final and determining specialist decisions, dealing with the most complex cases.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health, safety and wellbeing legislative requirements.
- Monitor and report on clinical performance metrics and outcomes.
- Lead on projects that promote health and wellbeing within SFRS, producing and analysing data to inform organisational activity.
- Represent the SFRS on relevant professional groups, networks and forums.
- Support and enable continued professional development within the team, to ensure core skills and clinical registrations are maintained.
