Care Team Leader / Supervisor – Bright Dawn Home Care (Solihull & Surrounding Areas) | 37.5 Hours per week

Bright Dawn Home Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Team Leader / Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in domiciliary care who is looking to progress into a leadership position within the home care sector.
About the Role
At Bright Dawn Home Care, the Care Team Leader / Supervisor is responsible for supervising both clients and Care Assistants across the Solihull Borough and surrounding areas. This role requires the Team Leader / Supervisor to ensure that all clients receive their care and support in a dignified, compassionate, and professional manner throughout the duration of their service.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care, while providing leadership, mentorship, and operational support to the care team. You will be responsible for ensuring that Care Assistants are providing the quality of care that Bright Dawn Home Care prides itself on. This role involves spending time both in the office and in the field, supporting care delivery across the Solihull Borough and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support Care Assistants in the community
* Ensure high-quality care in line with care plans, CQC standards, company policies, and individual client needs, including developing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments to maintain dignity and safety
* Conduct spot checks and field-based quality monitoring
* Assist with induction, shadowing, and ongoing training of new staff
* Provide field-based care training to Care Assistants, maintaining the ethos and standards of Bright Dawn Home Care at all times
* Identify training needs and escalate appropriately
* Attend weekly office and team meetings
* Cover care shifts as needed for sickness, holidays, or new clients
* Participate in the on-call rota and coordinate care cover when required
* Monitor and audit electronic MAR charts on a monthly basis
* Assist with client reviews and introductions
* Report changes in client care needs, medication, or schedules promptly
* Maintain accurate records and complete required administration
* Provide daily on-call handover reports when needed

About You
* Previous experience in domiciliary care is essential
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting staff development
* Reliable and willing to participate in on-call duties
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
