05:45 – 14:00 (Monday – Thursday)
05:45 – 12:45 (Friday)
Shift 2:
13:45 – 00:00 (Monday – Wednesday)
13:45 – 23:00 (Thursday)

Job Description:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment across the manufacturing facility. You will work on a wide range of automated and semi-automated machinery, supporting continuous production and contributing to ongoing improvement and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on production machinery and plant equipment
*
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime
*
Fault finding on mechanical systems including gearboxes, bearings, motors, conveyors, and drives
*
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*
Strip, rebuild, and install mechanical components and assemblies
*
Assist with machine upgrades, modifications, and new installations
*
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site standards
*
Mentor apprentices and junior technicians where required
*
Work independently to identify issues and implement effective mechanical solutions
Skills & Experience:
*
Qualifications: Time-served Mechanical Engineer with HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
*
Strong mechanical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
*
Proven experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including diagnostics and repair
*
Knowledge of rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, valves, and mechanical drives
*
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
*
Experience with preventative maintenance systems and continuous improvement activities
*
Welding, fabrication, or machining skills advantageous but not essential
*
IPAF and FLT licenses preferred but not essential
*
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
