A leading UK consulting and technology organisation is expanding its defence and security engineering capability. They are hiring DV-cleared Data Engineers only to deliver mission critical programmes, building modern data platforms and production-grade pipelines that help teams make better decisions, faster.
The role
You will design, build, and run scalable data pipelines end to end, from ingestion through transformation to consumption, within modern big data and cloud architectures. The work is delivery led, aligned to agile engineering practices, and focused on building services that operate reliably in production.
What you will be doing
* Build and operate robust pipelines across ingestion, processing, and consumption
* Use Python, SQL, APIs, and scripting to extract, transform, and curate data at scale
* Integrate multiple structured and unstructured sources, ensuring quality, lineage, and reliability
* Partner with delivery teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into working data products
* Contribute to engineering standards, testing, and operational best practice within secure environments
Core skills
* Strong experience designing and deploying production-grade pipelines
* Solid engineering capability with Python and SQL, plus big data tooling such as Spark, and Java or Scala where relevant
* Cloud data engineering exposure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Comfortable working in delivery squads, with a bias for pragmatic execution and measurable outcomes
Working pattern
Hybrid, typically a minimum of two days per week on client site or in the office. Location and on-site expectations vary by assignment, London and North West coverage.
