The Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Interventions Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is vital in supporting pupils with complex medical needs, ensuring their health and wellbeing throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities Assist with medical procedures such as but not limited to gastrostomy feeding, catheter care, and administration of medication (training provided) Monitor pupils’ health and respond appropriately to medical needs Work closely with nursing staff, therapists, and teaching teams to ensure holistic care Support pupils in accessing learning and social activities safely both within the curriculum and during out of hours care such as playschemes and after school clubs Maintain accurate records of medical interventions and incidents Promote dignity, independence, and inclusion for all pupils Requirements Experience working with children or young people with medical needs (desirable but not essential) Willingness to undertake training in medical procedures Excellent communication and teamwork skills Calm, patient, and empathetic approach Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children What We Offer Full training and ongoing professional development Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people Safeguarding Statement Chadsgrove School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
