Sous Chef - RNAS Yeovilton
* £15.73 per hour + Compass Benefits
* 37.5 hours per week
* 5 days over 7
Responsibilities
* Oversee all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Ensure all kitchen staff prepare and present quality food, with final products meeting Company Standards.
* Maintain correct food and hygiene standards among all kitchen staff.
* Lead by example to ensure the kitchen is always presentable.
* Provide a hands-on management approach and lead by example.
* Participate in recruitment, including interviews and trials for potential Second Chefs, Trainee Chefs, and Kitchen Porters.
* Communicate regularly with the Head Chef regarding stock levels.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to perform manual handling, including lifting and moving stock and equipment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
