We are looking for a clinician passionate about working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties to join our diverse team in the Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Job Summary
* Community‑based post within the Neurodevelopmental Team.
* Evidence‑based episodes of care, assessments and treatments for young people with moderate to severe learning disability.
* Provide part of an established group programme, positive behaviour support, ASC assessment clinic, consultation to CAMHS colleagues and schools, and direct work with children and families.
Main duties of the job
Provide evidence‑based episodes of care, assessments and treatment to young people with moderate to severe learning disability. Contribute clinical knowledge and skills to the Neurodevelopmental Team. Support the development and delivery of group programmes, positive behaviour support and ASC assessment clinic. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and external agencies.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* Qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession (e.g., Family & Systemic Psychotherapist, Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Social Worker, Art Therapist).
* Appropriate level of qualification (BSc, Masters, or Doctorate).
* Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., UKCP, NMC, HCPC).
* Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
Desirable Qualifications
* Specialised training relevant to the post (e.g., ADOS, 3Di, systemic therapy, CBT, Positive Behaviour Support, Applied Behavioural Analysis).
Experience
* Experience working in CAMHS and/or Adult Services for Autism/Learning Disability with evidence of transferable skills.
* Experience with assessment, formulation and treatment of diverse clinical presentations.
* Experience in risk assessment and management.
* Experience working with children, young people and families in emotional crisis.
* Experience in care planning and delivering evidence‑based interventions.
* Experience working with partner agencies.
* Experience in outcome measurement.
* Experience in culturally diverse and inner‑city settings.
Knowledge and Skills
* Self‑awareness and ability to reflect on professional attitudes and accept feedback.
* Knowledge of national guidelines and policies (Child Protection, THRIVE, Green Paper) and legislation.
* In‑depth knowledge of CAMHS assessment and interventions.
* Knowledge of standard setting and audit implementation.
* Evidence of well‑developed clinical skills in assessments and interventions.
* Skills in emergency and crisis assessment.
