Job Title: Data Protection Automation Engineer Location: Sheffield - Hybrid 3 x days a week Salary/Rate: £540 per day inside IR35 Start Date: 13th October Job Type: 3 month Contract Company Introduction: We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Protection Automation Engineer. You should have strong software development and storage automation experience. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: Contribute to sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests Design, develop, test and support automation for the data protection services (NetBackup and CommVault) within the bank. Design, develop, test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation. Provide engineering support on the bank's data protection products and their standard usage. Undertake product evaluation, new features, and versions. Mentor less experienced members of staff Required Skills/Experience: Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement) Extensive knowledge of software development languages, including Python, Ansible. Comprehensive experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible Proficient in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services. Hands on experience in Devops SCM tooling. GitLab Competent in Devops CICD tooling.
