The Opportunity
Our Diabetes Care business have an exciting opportunity for 2 Project Engineering Interns to join our Operations Engineering team for an approximately 13-month internship (starting Summer 2026) at our Manufacturing Centre of Excellence site in Witney, Oxfordshire.
The main purpose of the role:
1. To be a part of a highly-skilled team delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges in an automated manufacturing process.
2. To provide support and assistance with Engineering project management and documentation in compliance with site, corporate and external regulatory requirements.
3. Examples of this include developing machine user requirements specifications, and the development and execution of equipment qualification testing protocols to prove that the machine functions as required.
4. Work could include devising, planning, and running trials on manufacturing equipment, collecting and analysing data and writing reports.
5. Exposure and insight to our validation procedures for qualifying production equipment that is used for manufacturing components for medical devices.
The main responsibilities are as follows:
6. Responsible for working within the Operations Engineering team providing support to Senior Engineers on projects and tasks within agreed constraints of time, cost and quality.
7. Contribute to the development and execution of validations on our production equipment, proposing solutions to issues as they arise, and implementing and documenting under supervision.
8. To ensure that changes are introduced according to the required standards and change control processes.
9. All documentation must be completed in compliance with site, corporate and external regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, well organized, and detail-oriented individual who is currently studying towards a Bachelor’s or Integrated Master’s degree in an Engineering or STEM discipline. They will bring a passion and interest for delivering on high value engineering projects in a fast paced and automated manufacturing environment. This role would suit a person with good communication skills who enjoys working on a variety of different projects simultaneously.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and enjoy problem solving through collaboration.
