The Directors of Evergreen Education and Therapy Ltd are seeking an experienced Financial Controller (Part-time) to support and oversee the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial management and accounting software, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. Evergreen Education and Therapy supports children and their families in Dorset and Somerset by providing high quality specialist education and psychotherapy. Duties
* Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
* Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support organisational goals.
* Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger integrity.
* Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Monitor cash flow and optimise financial processes for efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to organisational policies and regulatory requirements related to finance.
Skills
* Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry.
* Proficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and overall bookkeeping practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
* Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external auditors and commissioners.
