Role Purpose We’re looking for a pro‑active, highly motivated and customer‑focused Multi‑Skilled Operative (Plumber) to join our clients responsive repairs team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality, “right first time” repairs and planned upgrades across our customers’ homes. You’ll be primarily responsible for plumbing tasks and bathroom/kitchen upgrades, but will also carry out a range of additional repair and maintenance activities depending on your wider skill set. Responsibilities Carry out high‑quality plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance across occupied and void properties. Undertake upgrades to kitchens and bathrooms in line with standards and planned programme requirements. Deliver multi‑trade tasks such as basic carpentry, plastering, decorating, or other skills depending on experience. Ensure all work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with good building maintenance practice Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer feels valued and informed. Represent Abri professionally, maintaining a positive and helpful attitude at all times. Work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades to deliver a seamless service. Use company-provided van, fuel card, and equipment responsibly. Supply and maintain your own hand tools and power tools. Participate in the Out‑of‑Hours Callout rota as required. Attend monthly trade meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Proven experience as a Plumber with strong multi‑trade abilities. Ability to carry out kitchen and bathroom upgrades to a high standard. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, “can‑do” attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid, clean driving licence. Understanding of health & safety requirements and safe working practices Experience working in social housing or domestic maintenance environments. Additional trade skills such as carpentry, tiling, plastering, or decorating. Relevant vocational qualifications or certifications. Benefits Company van with fuel card, van vault, racking, inverter.
