What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Street Cleansing Fleet Officer (Facilities and Environmental Services) REF: Merton 5271187 Pay rate: £21.33 per hour PAYE A Clean driving licence is essential Hybrid working, must be able to attend the office x3 days per week The role : On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Street Cleansing Fleet Officer for approximately 3 months. You will be reporting directly to the Passenger Operations and Fleet Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Street Cleansing Manager, In this role you will have primary responsibilities that encompass various essential tasks. These tasks include overseeing compliance with driver hours regulations, conducting comprehensive vehicle safety compliance checks, coordinating adherence to environmental standards, spearheading training initiatives, and executing Council policies and procedures. The role needs previous experience in fleet management operations along with exceptional working knowledge of street cleansing, vehicles and a background in service planning and quality management. Key Responsibilities: To support the Street Cleansing Manager in upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and safety within Merton Council’s Street Cleansing Fleet. To contribute to establishing and implementing a robust compliance framework. This will involve consistently evaluating regulatory requirements and industry best practices to facilitate the achievement of a secure, efficient, and legally compliant Fleet Service. To provide active participation in and promotion of fleet compliance training initiatives will be a vital aspect of this role.
