About The Role
Balfour Beatty is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Power Transmission & Distribution team, playing a pivotal role in delivering major, nationally significant infrastructure projects that strengthen network reliability and support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
Flexibility: We welcome both full-time and part-time applications, because we know the best people aren’t always available full-time.
Location: Leeds
What you'll be doing
* Prepare activity and resource schedules; analyse tender documents.
* Negotiate with subcontractors and third parties.
* Manage commercial documentation (CEN, EWN, GC) under NEC contracts.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain commercial registers.
* Develop procurement strategies and internal financial reports.
* Mentor junior commercial staff and support recruitment efforts.
* Ensure compliance with reporting standards and governance.
Who we're looking for
Who We're Looking For
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
* Chartered or working towards RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership.
* Strong NEC contract administration experience.
* Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
Desirable Attributes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Strong customer and business awareness.
* Ability to identify risks and opportunities.
* Experience in constructability analysis and programme management.
