Nexperia Manchester are now expanding our Equipment Engineering Team by hiring a Multiskilled Equipment Engineering Technician to join our 100-strong on-site team. If you have multiskilled experience in reactive or proactive repair this could be the opportunity for you to work towards becoming a specialist Semiconductor Equipment Engineer with funded training and development.
?What you will do
?As a Multiskilled Equipment Engineering Technician, you will be a key contributor to our manufacturing operations, carrying out routine maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and performing root-cause analysis on complex, high-tech wafer-fab systems. Working a 77 shift patterntwo weeks of days followed by one week of nights. Youll operate on 12-hour shifts with four days off each week. Youll diagnose faults swiftly, execute repairs efficiently, and understand how your work directly influences semiconductor yield. Youll also play an active role in optimising maintenance procedures using available KPIs, ensuring strong spare-parts control, and upholding exemplary 5S standards. In addition, you will use the factory MES platform to plan and carry out preventative maintenance, update equipment histories, and maintain full compliance with health and safety requirements.
