Role: Legal Cashier
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Contract: Full time, permanent
A well-established and growing law firm based in Castleford is currently seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive working environment where accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality are key.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing client and office accounts in compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules

Processing payments, receipts, and transfers using legal accounting software
*
Bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate record keeping
*
Handling petty cash, billing, and expense claims
*
Liaising with fee earners and external bodies to ensure smooth financial operations
*
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
*
Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting as required
Requirements:
1.
Previous experience working within accounts is essential
2.
Solid understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules
3.
Proficient with legal accounting software (e.g., Leap, Quill, or similar)
4.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
5.
Good organisational and time management skills
