About the Role – Primary School Teaching Assistant (Sheffield)
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons
* Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost attainment
* Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEND experience desirable)
* Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
* Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation
* Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in EYFS, KS1, or KS2 within a primary school environment.
Teaching Assistant Requirements
To be successful in this Sheffield Teaching Assistant role, you should have:
* Previous experience working in a primary school (preferred but not essential)
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
* A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
* The right to work in the UK
