Position: Quality Analyst Consultant
Location: Farnborough, UK
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Frequency: Full-time
Responsibilities:
1. Lead, assess, and investigate supplier quality issues.
2. Perform source inspections.
3. Lead and participate in quality reviews and governance meetings with senior management (Directors).
4. Plan and conduct FAI reviews.
5. Analyze data and generate KPIs on supplier quality performance.
6. Lead, plan, and execute complex cross-functional projects and initiatives.
7. Define corrective actions and improvement plans with suppliers.
8. Review and approve quality documentation (e.g., dropship forms).
9. Manage RNC/VRNC quality tasks requiring MRB approval.
10. Provide technical support and coaching to team members and stakeholders.
11. Lead and manage DMM during the absence of the leader.
12. Participate in executive meetings and PMRs with suppliers.
13. Coach and train suppliers on our quality tools.
14. Act as a delegate for the Director on quality matters and meetings.
15. Contribute to defining the strategic plans of the department as a mentor.
Requirements:
1. Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102).
2. Commodity experience in machined parts.
3. Working knowledge of CMM inspection; ability to interpret inspection reports related to manufacturing requirements.
4. Understanding of aerospace quality systems and international standards.
5. Proficiency with SAP.
6. Familiarity with inspection concepts, practices, and procedures; skilled in using CMM, comparators, micrometers, thread gauges, and calipers.
7. Ability to read blueprints and check dimensional properties to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
8. Knowledge of Discus (preferred).
9. Knowledge of Net Inspect.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
11. Understanding of GD&T principles.
12. Minimum of 7 years of aerospace experience.
13. Ability to propose innovative solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
14. Capability to develop and manage deployment strategies for complex issues.
15. Strong communication skills for decision-making and strategy dissemination.
16. Perform risk analyses for complex solutions.
17. Ability to work independently as a role model.
18. Experience in coaching and training team members.
