Teaching Personnel is working with a specialistSocial, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) schoolin Wandsworth to recruit a dedicatedMaths Teacher. This role involves supporting students withchallenging behaviour, helping them build confidence, numeracy skills, and a positive relationship with learning.
* Deliver engaging and adaptive Maths lessons (KS3 & KS4) tailored to students with SEMH needs.
* Use atrauma-informed approachto manage behaviour and foster a safe, structured learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams to support students’ academic and emotional development.
* Differentiate lessons to meet individual needs, ensuring all students can access and progress in Maths.
* Contribute to a curriculum that balances academic achievement with social and emotional growth.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or relevant teaching experience in the UK.
* Experience teachingMathsat secondary level, ideally withinSEMH, PRUs, or alternative provision.
* Strongbehaviour management skillsand the ability to engage disaffected learners.
* Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
* A creative and flexible approach to teaching, making Maths accessible and relevant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
