Job Title: Biopharmaceutical Separation Scientist

A leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) that is dedicated to supporting biopharmaceutical development Is seeking a senior separation scientist with Industry experience in A4F / SEC MALS.
Position Overview: The suitable highly skilled and motivated Separation Scientist will join the analytical Development team. The separation scientist will play a key role in the development and optimization of analytical methods using Asymmetric Flow Field-Flow Fractionation (AF4) and Size-Exclusion Chromatography with Multi-Angle Light Scattering (SEC MALS) techniques.
The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the characterization and analysis of biopharmaceuticals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data to support client projects.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and optimize separation methods using AF4 and SEC MALS for the analysis of a wide variety of biologics.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments to support biopharmaceutical development projects.
* Perform method validation and troubleshooting to ensure robust and reliable analytical methods.
* Analyse and interpret data generated from AF4 and SEC MALS experiments, providing comprehensive reports to support decision-making.
* Stay abreast of advancements in separation science, instrumentation, and analytical techniques to enhance capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
* Experience with other complementary analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and mass spectrometry.
* Contribute to the preparation and review of technical documents, including method development reports, SOPs, and regulatory submissions.
* Train and mentor junior scientists on separation techniques and data analysis.
Qualifications:
* Proven expertise in separation techniques, particularly AF4 and SEC MALS, applied to the analysis of biopharmaceuticals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biopharmaceutical development (e.g., FDA, EMA).
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with other analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and mass spectrometry.
* Knowledge of data analysis software associated with AF4 and SEC MALS.
* Previous experience working in a CRO or similar industry setting.
