Eaton Syalon are recruiting for a Interim Senior Buyer to join a high-performing procurement function within a dynamic, forward-thinking business. This is a key role in the procurement team, offering exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and cost optimisation across a diverse supply chain.
You will have the flexibility of Hybrid working, 2 days working from home and 3 days based in the office.
This is a full-time 12-month FTC role. To be considered for this role you need to be immediately available or on a short notice. This is essential to be considered for the
role!
The role is ideal for candidates based in Ilkeston, Langley Mill and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing activities, including supplier negotiations and contract management
Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation within key spend areas
Build and manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Ensure procurement activity aligns with operational goals and compliance frameworks
Deliver reporting and insights on supplier performance, costs, and KPIs
Support onboarding and due diligence for new suppliers
Act as a mentor and support to operational buyers where needed
About You:
Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiation and procurement frameworks
3-5 years experience in procurement ideally within technical or engineering led environments
Confident using MS Office, procurement systems, and data tools to support reporting and analysis
Excellent communicator with strong organisational and time management skills
CIPS qualified or currently working towards qualification preferred
