Your Next Role
This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference.
As a Social Worker within our team, you will bring a genuine passion for supporting children and young people to realise their dreams and ambitions, while ensuring they receive the highest quality care and support.
You will work with children aged 0-16 whose plans include long-term foster care or adoption. Wherever possible, we are committed to supporting children to return home or live within their wider family network. For those who cannot, you will play a vital role in securing safe, stable, and nurturing homes where they can truly thrive.
Our children benefit from a strong network of support, including dedicated therapeutic life story workers and close partnership working through the Swindon Integrated Trauma Pathway and our Virtual School. You will be part of a service that puts children at the heart of everything we do.
You will be someone who is driven to ensure every child feels loved, valued, safe, and secure. At the right time, you will support carers to help children develop independence, life skills, and confidence as they move towards adulthood. You will enjoy meaningful direct work and bring a toolkit of skills that you are motivated to continually develop with our support.
What You Will Bring
* A strong strengths-based approach, with a child-centred value base at the heart of your practice
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, inspire and motivate children, young people, and their families and carers across a wide range of situations
* Strong assessment, analytical, and planning skills, alongside a high standard of direct work practice
Your ambition should be limitless – matching our own determination to achieve the very best outcomes for children in our care.
What You’ll Need
* A recognised Social Work qualification.
* Registration with Social Work England.
Additional Information
* Based in Swindon town centre, with a hybrid working model.
* The role involves travel, including some evenings. Most visits are planned, though there will also be occasions requiring responsive, out-of-area visits.
* We are committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance and prioritising staff wellbeing.
