Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing

Permanent Position
Up to £45,000 per annum
We are working with a social housing provider who is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a varied programme of planned and reactive works across their housing stock.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, supporting cost control and commercial management from inception through to completion.
Scope of Works
Projects may include:
1. Kitchens & Bathrooms (K&Bs)
2. Day-to-day and planned disrepairs
3. Fire damage reinstatement works
4. Fire door installation programmes
5. Fire sprinkler installation works
6. BISF – External Wall Insulation (EWI) projects
7. Multi-storey flat refurbishment programmes
Key Responsibilities
8. Commercial management of multiple social housing workstreams
9. Preparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
10. Valuations, variations, and final accounts
11. Managing subcontractor payments and commercial performance
12. Supporting procurement and contract administration
13. Liaising with operational, technical, and client-side teams
14. Ensuring cost control and value for money across all projects
About You
15. Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or maintenance frameworks
16. Experience across planned works, refurbishments, or reactive maintenance
17. Knowledge of fire safety–related works (desirable)
18. Strong commercial and cost management skills
19. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
20. Good communication and stakeholder management skills
21. Right to work in the UK
