Children's Home Dual Registered Manager (3 & 4 bed homes) Location : Western-Super-Mare/ Langford, Bristol Contract Type : Full-time, permanent Full Time: 40 hours per week Salary: £54,825.86 per annum with the potential to earn up to £69,325.86 with bonuses Accountable to : Regional Director and Head of Care Headway Adolescent Resources were formed in 1999 and has established a good reputation in the residential adolescent childcare sector, and pride themselves in having the insight and ability to care for young people as individuals in a holistic manner, regardless of their background. We are currently seeking a Children's Home Dual Registered Manager to join our services in Western-Super- Mare and Bristol looking after not just one but two of our amazing homes! You will be overseeing a three and a brand new four-bedroom home, with a small team assigned to support the young people who call these places their home. As a Dual Registered Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the homes to ensure we deliver a high quality level of care, ensuring the homes actively promote the rights of young people as individuals and provides them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation. You must be committed to making a real difference to the lives of the young people in our care and to working to a high standard of professional practice with a non-judgmental and get up and go positive attitude taking into account the views of the young people's views, wishes and feelings. Role details: Be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements for Ofsted and a thorough knowledge of child protection/safeguarding procedures and protocols. You will be accountable for the smooth and efficient management and administration of both homes and undertake wider operational tasks as and when required. Must be able to produce, update and monitor plans, reports etc. and deliver to deadlines and demonstrate an organised, efficient and flexible approach to their managerial duties. Must be able to lead, motivate, manage and develop all members of the staff team within an open and enthusiastic culture which includes the delivery of training. Must ensure that the Company is represented professionally to outside agencies and within the local community and contribute towards the development of the Company. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the young people Enthusiasm in providing the highest quality care and education Experience of managing a team Essential Criteria: You must have a recognised social work qualification i.e. QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years' previous experience within the last 5 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children and, for at least 1 year, requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role. Must be licensed to drive a manual gear car and have use of own car with business insurance (proof will need to be supplied as part of onboarding) and be able to undertake on-call duties (on average 2 on call duties a month). Benefits: 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) Occupancy Bonus: £175 per child after the first child e.g. 4 bed home= 3 x £175 (£525 pcm) and 3 bed= 2 x £175 (£350pcm. Full total of up to £875pcm across both homes. Ofsted Report Bonuses- £500 for a 'Good' report, £1000 for an 'Outstanding' report per home= Up to £2000 £2000 car allowance Non-contributory pension (9% Employer contribution) and company sick pay after 6 months probation On call payments- £10 per day Monday- Fridays and £50 for Saturday and Sunday Enhanced sick pay - 5 days full sick pay Headway Adolescent Children's Services is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
