We are looking to appoint two Nurses in our Medical Centre.
Make your application after reading the following skill and qualification requirements for this position.
The postholders will work a rotating shift pattern of approximately 20 hours per week to include weekend working.
The postholders may be required to work extra hours which may include sleeping night duty.
Days and times to be determined and will be discussed with the successful applicant.
The hours will be term time only (approximately 34 weeks) and will exclude 4 Leave Out weekends.
The post may require overnight cover but the postholder will be able to sleep, and sleeping facilities are provided.
The postholders might be required to work particular Leave Out weekends depending on how many pupils remain in school.
What you'll be doing: The role of the Nurse is to care for pupils that are in the Medical Centre, and to provide a fast, effective and efficient response to any medical queries or situations, whilst ensuring a caring approach is maintained.
To take a proactive role in promoting health awareness across the College and providing medical education, support and guidance on health issues as required.
The Medical Centre offers a 24/7 service to pupils during term time.
You'll have : Registered nurse (2 years minimum post qualification).
Evidence of CPD and valid NMC registration PIN.
Previous experience of care provision for children and empathy and understanding of childrens development/needs.
Confident communicator, strong listener, sensitive and empathetic approach.
Ability to prioritise and manage changing priorities and calm and effective under pressure.
Able to work independently and within the medical team.
Driving licence and access to car for work purposes.
Confident in using various software packages.

This post involves significant contact with children and the post holder will be responsible for children.
The post holder will be considered to be in a regulated activity.
