Join to apply for the Consultant Gynaecologist role at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is to strengthen the existing team of gynaecologists at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital. The team provides care to women across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, and the Isle of Man. The successful candidate will play an important role in assisting with the provision of general gynaecology, including emergency gynaecology, outpatient general and special interest gynaecology clinics as well as inpatient elective gynaecological surgery, both major and minimal access. The successful candidate will be expected to lead on the development of new pathways and support the senior management team in shaping the future strategy of the gynaecology services within a special tertiary centre.
There are 2x permanent consultant posts available (10 PA).
Liverpool Women’s NHS FT became part of NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (UHLG) in November 2024. UHLG is one of the largest employers in the region, with a broad scope of services across multiple sites, including general and emergency hospital care and highly specialised regional services.
Responsibilities
* Provide general gynaecology services including emergency gynaecology, outpatient clinics, and inpatient elective gynaecological surgery (major and minimal access).
* Lead development of new pathways and support the senior management team in shaping future strategy for gynaecology services within a tertiary centre.
* Collaborate with committed staff and partners to shape the future of healthcare for the Liverpool City Region and wider footprint.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience at Consultant level in gynaecology.
* Ability to lead clinical development and contribute to service strategy.
* UK-based NHS experience preferred.
