Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Family Intervention Worker to join our team within a residential family assessment/intervention service. This is a key senior role, offering the opportunity to progress into a Deputy Manager position for the right candidate.
You will work directly with families to assess parenting capacity, promote positive change, and safeguard children, while also supporting and mentoring staff and contributing to the day-to-day running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Work directly with families to deliver structured interventions and support high-quality assessments
* Support families to develop safe, consistent, and child-focused parenting practices
* Lead by example, providing guidance, supervision, and mentoring to Family Intervention Workers
* Contribute to risk management, safeguarding, and incident response
* Produce clear, and evidence-based reports for courts and professionals
* Support the management team with shift planning, handovers, audits, and quality assurance
* Act as a senior point of contact during shifts and support decision-making
* Promote a trauma-informed, reflective, and professional practice culture
This role is designed with development into a Deputy Manager position. You will be supported through:
* Leadership and management development
* Increased operational responsibility over time
* Supporting management with on call duties
* Opportunities to deputise for management and lead on specific areas of practice
Role includes shifts and flexible working including evening and weekends
Starting salary £14.50 - £16.50 dependent on experience
