You will be joining a well‑established business based in Loughborough, working within a fast‑paced and busy stores environment. The set‑up is similar to a Screwfix‑style trade counter, supporting contractors, engineers and internal teams with materials, tools and stock.
Your new role
As a Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, booking deliveries, issuing materials, and keeping the stores organised and running smoothly.
Key duties include:
1. Serving contractors and colleagues at the trade counter
2. Booking in deliveries and updating stock records
3. Picking and preparing requests
4. Conducting stock checks and reporting discrepancies
5. Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and returns
6. Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised storeroom
7. General stores support as required
This role is Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm
Pay: £–£ per hour via PAYE or Umbrella (CIS not accepted).
The position is temporary to permanent following a successful interview after 12 weeks.
Start date: 9th March.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Previous experience in a store, warehouse, stock control or trade counter environment is desirable, though not essential.
