Initial 6 Month Contract
£59.33 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)
* Develop designs in line with requirements and all quality and technical standards.
* Perform technical investigations, including evaluation of technical options, supporting calculations and preparation of reports with recommendations.
* Participate in internal and external meetings or design reviews.
* Definition and control of interfaces via interface control drawings and space envelopes.
* Ensuring that the product will operate safely and reliably in the military operating environment and can be manufactured cost effectively.
* Preparing 3D models, 2D drawings, and other technical outputs, consistent with the contractual requirements to meet target dates and budget demands.
* Support quality related to production NCR's (non-conformance reports) and first article inspection.
* Interface with related supporting functions such as Procurement and Quality.

The Role

The Candidate
* Working experience using CAD software (ideally PTC Creo Parametrics)
* Previous production, manufacturing and assembly experience
* Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
* Working knowledge of technical office processes, standards and standard instructions (i.e. Business Management System (BMS) and the Life Cycle Model (LCM))
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Presentation / report writing skills
