Job Description:
Support Worker – St Buryan, Cornwall
£12.21 per hour | Part-time | Regular weekly shifts
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Support Worker to provide high-quality supported living care to a service user in their own home in St Buryan, Cornwall. This role involves delivering personalised care, promoting independence, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the individual.
Requirements:
1. First Aid training
2. Choking response training (Basic Life Support/Dysphagia)
3. Medication administration training
4. Epilepsy training
5. PEG training - Essential
6. Full UK driving licence
7. Flexibility to work a variety of shift times on a part-time basis
Role Responsibilities:
8. Provide person-centred support within the service user’s home
9. Assist with daily living tasks and personal care
10. Administer medication in line with training and care plans
11. Support with PEG feeding as required
12. Respond appropriately to medical needs, including seizures and choking incidents
13. Promote independence, dignity, and choice
14. Maintain accurate records and follow all policies and procedures
