We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 6 pupil with profound Autism at a warm and inclusive primary school in Coulsdon.
This child will be joining the school after the October half-term and is currently working at Key Stage 1 level, so prior experience supporting children in KS1 or KS2 would be highly desirable.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will play a key role in helping the pupil settle into school life, engage with learning tasks and build trusting relationships with staff and peers. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals to deliver consistent, structured and nurturing support tailored to their communication and sensory needs.

Learning Support Assistant – Person Specification:
* A Psychology, Education or related degree (desirable, not essential)
* Previous experience supporting children with Autism or complex needs
* Calm, patient and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication
* Able to adapt activities to meet the child’s developmental level (KS1)
* Reliable, resilient and confident working as part of a collaborative team
