AWS Solution Architect – Associate Manager / Manager Locations: London or Manchester Salary: Manager: London £90–95k / National £85–90k Associate Manager: London £70–75k / National £65–70k About the role Our client, a global professional services and technology transformation firm, is seeking experienced AWS Solution Architects across two levels – Associate Manager and Manager – to join their growing cloud architecture practice. This is a key opportunity to design and deliver large-scale cloud transformation projects for major public and private sector organisations. You’ll work on cutting-edge AWS solutions that power AI, data, and digital innovation initiatives — helping clients modernise, optimise performance, and achieve tangible business outcomes. What you’ll do Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud architectures supporting enterprise and AI workloads. Lead and execute complex cloud migration and modernisation programmes end-to-end. Optimise performance, cost, and security across AWS workloads, including serverless and GPU-based compute. Collaborate with software, data, and ML teams to operationalise production environments. Drive automation and continuous improvement through DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers (Manager level). Act as a trusted advisor, defining cloud strategies and best practices for clients. What we’re looking for 5 years’ experience designing and delivering AWS-based solutions. Deep knowledge of AWS services – EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform. Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS, SOC 2). Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud migrations. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Desirable: Multi-cloud experience (Azure or GCP). Experience in hybrid or on-prem environments, with an understanding of interoperability and optimisation.
