Bromley Council is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead its Environmental Health & Licensing services on an interim basis. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing regulatory services across environmental health, licensing, public protection, and associated functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and operational management of the Environmental Health & Licensing teams.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with legal requirements, best practice, and council policies.
Develop and implement service improvement plans and manage performance across the department.
Lead on complex regulatory issues and act as the council's principal advisor in relevant matters.
Support the council's wider public protection agenda, contributing to health and wellbeing outcomes for residents.
Candidate Requirements:
Substantial senior management experience in environmental health and/or licensing within local government.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and public health responsibilities.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver service improvements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
