Role - Quality engineer
Location - West Midlands
The Quality Engineer is a key position within the Quality Function and will be responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, performance and continuous improvement of Project and Operational Quality Management and Control.
Reporting to the Operational Quality Manager or the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for day to day operational Quality Management and Control for the projects and/or processes you are responsible for / supporting.

* Tendering
* Project Kick off
* Review of Client Specifications
* Management of LTQR documentation
* Production of Project Quality Plans
* Review / approval of MITPs
* Flow down of client Quality requirements to functions and suppliers
* Production of contract specific Procedures
* Approval of procedures
* Support to Project Meetings
* Support to Client Meetings
* Project Reporting
* Client Non Conformance management
* Support to Internal Audit
* Supplier Kick-off meetings
* Closeout of Operational Non-Conformance Reports
* Support Despatch process
* Review/approval of supplier MITP and Procedures
* Supplier surveillance
* Management of supply chain quality oversight activities
* Compilation, approval and release of customer Life time records
* Continuous Improvement projects
Requirements
* Ideally Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance or related subject
* Proven Engineering, Business Management, Manufacturing or related field
* Nuclear Industry experience required
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, EN 3834, EN1090
* Lead/Internal Auditor in ISO 9001
* NCR generation and management
* Experience of working to Quality Control Grading
* Experience of working in highly regulated industry
* Experience and understanding of process improvement
* Strong Practical Problem Solving skills being able to lead and facilitate activities leading to improvements.
* 6-sigma trained or trained in other problem solving (8D, 6-Sigma, 5S, 7W, etc)
