As a care navigator you are the pivotal role between the clinical team and the patient. You are responsible for delivering a positive experience for the patient, and an important part of our team here at the Goodinge.
Main duties of the job
This is a vital role in our busy practice based in Islington. Our Care Coordinators are the first point of contact for our patients and so are a critical role for our practice.
We are looking for a person who is experienced in working in a GP practice on EMIS system and is a team player who will help be part of our fantastic team.
Main responsibilities of the role will include the provision of effective and confidential reception and admin duties including answering telephone calls, use of clinical EMIS IT system, meeting/greeting of all patients and visitors in a polite, calm and approachable manner. Other duties will include the management of patient documents, data input and at times some administrative/clerical support to the clinical and management team.
Applicants should have good communication, IT skills and preferably knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Job responsibilities
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team.
Duties will include greeting and directing patients, dealing with patient registration, booking appointments, and processing of information. You will act as the central point of contact for patients and will distribute information, messages, and enquiries to the clinical team.
