Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Research & Development Project Supervisor for our Newcastle site. The R & D Department within Engineering is responsible for the development of umbilical products and components providing focused niche technical guidance in Polymers, Metallurgy, Electrical Engineering, Umbilical Handling and product analysis. The R&D team support the Umbilical Engineering group and as such the departments contribute to the direction, co-ordination and implementation of the development of TechnipFMC Cable & Umbilical products. Main Duties Provide leadership support to functional R&D team. Coaching and development of immediate reports and provide assistance for personnel assessment, training and development of all functions within the TUS group. Foster teamwork within the engineering group and provide peer support for engineers within the TUS engineering group. Manage External R&D projects with subcontractors and research institutions. Investigate opportunities for Third Party funding and support on R&D activities. Investigate opportunities for collaboration with higher education institutions.
