A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
To provide a clinical service in Orthopaedic Surgery, working closely with the Consultants and Clinical Assistants. The post holder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician. The post-holder will have an on call element to their role.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical service in Orthopaedic Surgery and participate in on-call duties as defined in the job plan.
* Attend elective and fracture clinics, ward rounds and operating theatre lists to support postgraduate training and service delivery.
* Take responsibility for clinical management for in-patients and outpatients under your care.
* Comply with GMC requirements of a doctor at all times and maintain patient confidentiality.
* Be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of Trust resources you use or influence.
* Participate in corporate and medical induction, and the Trust's statutory mandatory training programme.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Broad experience of general Trauma and Orthopaedics, with practical experience in elective and trauma surgery.
* Eligibility for GMC registration (MFT cannot sponsor GMC for permanent vacancies).
* Eligible to participate in the Trust’s training and development framework.
