Wakefield Inclusion Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Support Service (WISENDSS) is seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant to work within our Vision Impairment Resource at Crofton Academy.
We are looking for a motivated individual to provide excellent support to our visually impaired pupils within the resource base and mainstream classes.
Key qualities include:
1. Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities, particularly visual impairment (training will be provided for the right candidate)
2. Good communication skills
3. Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative
4. Commitment to helping children learn and progress
5. Optimism, sense of humour, and problem-solving skills
6. Willingness to learn
7. Excellent work ethic
This post is for term-time, 32.5 hours per week.
