Demand Planning Data Analyst (demand, supply & inventory)
Position Overview
You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate forecasting and demand visibility across the global supply chain function. Supported by the central Data Analytics team, you will interpret the data, providing the story around the data, enabling the senior management teams to make the appropriate data led planning decisions.
Leveraging advanced analytics, statistical modelling, and automation to improve forecast accuracy and enable data-driven demand planning decisions. You will see behind the data, identifying trends and importantly the inter-related knock-on effects of changes, enabling insightful proactive decision making.
You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large sets of data to support demand planning, improve forecast accuracy, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Collect, cleanse, and analyse sales, inventory, and market data to support demand planning activities.
Develop and maintain demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (SKU, region, customer, product family).
Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning to gather inputs and align on consensus forecasts.
Conduct root cause analysis of forecast errors and identify demand drivers through advanced analytics
Monitor demand trends, forecast accuracy, and key performance metrics, recommending adjustments when needed.
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and planning models to improve data visibility and support decision-making.
Support the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes with accurate data, analysis, and presentations.
Identify demand drivers and market shifts that may impact forecasting and supply chain performance.
Assist in continuous improvement of planning tools, processes, and methodologies.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy across planning systems and reports.
Continuously research and apply new forecasting methodologies, statistical techniques, and technologies to improve demand planning capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or data analysis (supply chain environment preferred).
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of forecasting methods (time series, regression, ARIMA, Prophet, machine learning techniques).
Experience with demand planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis Maestro - formerly known as RapidResponse, SAP IBP, Anaplan, o9, or similar).
Solid understanding of supply chain processes and statistical models.
Ability to interpret large datasets and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
Experience with statistical forecasting techniques (time-series, regression, machine learning).
Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics.
Exposure to S&OP and IBP processes and best practices.
Industry experience in high tech
