Writtle Surgery is currently looking to welcome a dedicated and dynamic advanced nurse practitioner to our supportive, friendly team on a part-time basis for 3 days per week. We are a progressive, patient focused, dispensing GP surgery who can offer further training and good opportunities for the successful applicant. Key duties for this position will include; Providing i ndependent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illness, chronic disease management, and acute presentations. Prescribing independently within your clinical competence. Contributing to the urgent care/on the day appointment system. Working closely with our GP, nursing, pharmacy and allied health teams. Supporting audits, QOF and continuous service improvement. About the Candidate The successful candidate will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances. You will have the following qualifications, skills and experience; NMC registration with ANP qualification. (Masters required) Independent prescriber. Advanced clinical assessment skills. Excellent communication and decision making skills. Experience in primary care. About Us The Writtle Surgery, set in a beautiful village location, is a 3 partner semi-rural dispensing practice of a growing list of approximately 8000 patients. We are part of PCN Chelmsford West and have 3 salaried GPs, a fully staffed team including practice nurses, dispensers, secretaries and administrators, clinical pharmacists and receptionists.
