We are looking to hire a Multiskilled Engineer to provide a professional and logical approach to engineering support, ensuring high-quality workmanship and a dynamic response to operational requirements. The role involves operating safely and efficiently on a day-to-day basis, maintaining high standards and awareness of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Attend and diagnose breakdown repairs promptly to meet production targets.
2. Identify solutions to reduce wastage and improve labour efficiency on plant.
3. Complete all designated PPMs to standard.
4. Ensure stores' stock/spares are correctly booked out and report shortages or discrepancies.
5. Provide decision-making support and expert guidance to the business.
6. Support the QA team in maintaining all aspects of the QMS for engineering practices.
7. Record all work details using CMMS with sufficient clarity for reference and traceability.
8. Carry out repairs on plant and infrastructure following procedural controls and GMP procedures.
9. Maintain toolbox standards and inventory.
10. Keep personal workspace tidy and complete tasks fully, including aftermath control.
11. Wear PPE appropriately and correctly.
12. Support colleagues in adopting correct operating procedures.
13. Supervise and guide contractors to meet company standards.
14. Respect and assist others in their roles.
15. Support operational teams in cell reviews as required.
16. Communicate concerns about colleagues' practices or welfare to your Team Leader.
17. Ensure H&S standards are upheld and equipment is used safely, reporting defects promptly.
18. Maintain awareness of PUWER and HASAW regulations.
19. Update skills regularly and support the development of others in the maintenance department.
20. Train operators in basic maintenance skills to achieve factory objectives.
21. Contribute to developing new working methods and continuous improvement initiatives.
22. Analyze and fault-find mechanical/electrical breakdowns.
23. Perform PPMs and repairs to high standards.
24. Record all corrective actions on the CMM system.

Qualifications & Skills:
* High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills.
* First-class work ethic and relationship-building skills across site functions.
* Electrical bias is desirable.
* Experience in electrical engineering, preferably in food or FMCG manufacturing.
* Fault-finding expertise and knowledge of electrical/control principles.
* Ability to read electrical drawings and documentation.
* Knowledge of PLC systems, especially Siemens, is beneficial.
* Understanding of AC/DC motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
* Workshop skills including fabrication and refurbishment.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with CMMS.
