An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research and Innovation Team as Research Sister / Charge Nurse covering maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary research team, managing and coordinating clinical research studies.
The aim of this post is to increase recruitment into research studies as part of the strategic development of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities include recruiting patients into clinical studies, providing support and education whilst on the clinical study, and the collection and documentation of accurate data. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the set‑up of new studies, in conjunction with the R&I department. This will include studies adopted onto the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio and those commercially sponsored. The post holder will work as part of the larger team to ensure the research is delivered in accordance with the necessary requirements and regulations, including ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Support will be provided from the relevant NIHR network; appropriate training will be given to develop the post.
