Job title: People Assistant
Location: DEBRA UK, Blantyre, Scotland, United Kingdom. This is a part-time role.
Role summary
DEBRA UK is recruiting for a People Assistant to join our friendly, supportive team at our Blantyre office. The role is on a 21-hour per week basis with a salary of £15,000 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general administrative duties with the People team, including answering phone calls and responding to emails.
* Assist with the recruitment process including posting job vacancies, screening CVs, and scheduling interviews.
* Support new hire onboarding by completing DBS checks, obtaining references and issuing the appropriate documentation.
* Ensure the HRIS system is kept up to date with employee documentation.
* Collate payroll information and input data onto the payroll system.
* Support HR project activity.

* Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and manage conflicting priorities.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with diplomacy and discretion.
* Ability to respond to queries in a timely manner with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Positive team player with the ability to work autonomously.
* Proactive problem solving and ability to work calmly under pressure.
