The Opportunity
The Independent Living Coordinator is a key management role with responsibility for the overall delivery, performance, and integrity of the Independent Living Service. The postholder provides strong operational leadership, ensuring effective service delivery, robust oversight, and consistent quality assurance across all schemes.
In a landscape shaped by new legislative requirements—where customers must now evidence a genuine need for Independent Living support—the Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring full regulatory compliance, accurate and timely assessments, and the ongoing safety and wellbeing of residents. The position safeguards the credibility and reliability of the Independent Living offer by ensuring staff follow clear processes, maintain high professional standards, and deliver safe, accountable practice.
Working jointly with another Independent Living Coordinator, the role requires the ability to lead, support, and performance‑manage a dispersed and diverse team, ensuring consistent approaches, strong communication, and clear accountability. The Coordinator oversees the full customer journey—from allocation decisions through to tenancy sign‑up and key handover—ensuring staff deliver a seamless, high‑quality experience at every stage.
Aligned with our strategic ambition, the Coordinator will also drive the transformation of schemes into vibrant, outward‑facing community assets. By leading staff, engaging key stakeholders, and coordinating partnership activity, the role will help create active, inclusive spaces that benefit residents and the wider neighbourhood, extending the value and visibility of the Independent Living service.
This position will be office based 5 days a week.
