The Opportunity
This is a field-based role covering Cornwall and Devon, responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial coffee equipment, including traditional espresso machines, bean-to-cup systems and associated appliances.
The position offers genuine long-term progression as the team grows toward a 5-engineer structure, with future leadership responsibilities available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
* Reactive repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across customer sites
* Planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
* PSSR / boiler safety checks where required
* Installation and commissioning of espresso and bean-to-cup machines
* Updating service reports, workflow systems and van stock records
* Occasional workshop-based tasks at the Liskeard site (½ day to full day weekly depending on workload)
* Providing professional on-site customer support and basic end-user training
* Supporting the wider engineering team and contributing to continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience
* Mechanical and electrical fault-finding competency
* Hands-on experience with commercial coffee machines (espresso and/or bean-to-cup)
* Previous field service engineering experience
* Full UK driving licence

* Strong customer service skills and professional manner
* Organised, proactive and reliable
* Able to support a large geographic region (Cornwall & Devon)
Working Pattern
* 8:30am – 5pm, with door-to-door travel paid
* Field-based across Cornwall & Devon
* Workshop presence required once a week (½ day to full day depending on workload)
* On-call rota: approximately once every 3 weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
Salary, Benefits & Package
* £33,000–£39,000 depending on experience
* Flexibility into the early £40s for exceptional candidates (typically post-probation)

* Supporting training of junior engineers
* Driving improvements across the service function
