VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large and well-known organisation with the recruitmentof an Economic Development Managerto join their team based in Newtownabbey.
This is a Full-Time Monday-Friday position. Temporary contract expected to last for a minimum of 6 months.
Salary

Responsibilities
1. Lead the development and implementation of economic development strategies and regeneration initiatives.
2. Support efforts to attract new investment and create job opportunities.
3. Build effective partnerships with government agencies, local businesses, and other stakeholders.
4. Oversee the delivery of economic development programmes, including entrepreneurship support and infrastructure projects.
5. Manage budgets, contracts, and staff to ensure the effective delivery of services.
6. Promote and market regeneration and investment sites within the borough.
7. Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support local economic growth.
8. Lead efforts to develop collaborative economic initiatives with regional and external bodies.
9. Provide strategic advice to senior management and ensure alignment with the organisation's goals.
Essential Criteria:
10. A relevant degree (e.g. Business, Economics, Urban Development, Town Planning)
11. Minimum of 2 years' experience in economic development, investment or regeneration projects.
12. Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and large-scale initiatives.
13. Strong relationship-building skills with the business community and key stakeholders.
14. Strong planning and project management skills.
15. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
16. A full, current driving license and access to a vehicle for travel.
